Given the southpaw’s turbulence this postseason, the Yankees had to know there was a fat chance that Rodón would unravel the way he did on Saturday. Aaron Boone and the Yankees’ decision-makers are just as responsible for this poor outing as the left-hander himself is. Rodón took the mound for Game 2 having surrendered seven earned runs over his previous three playoff starts (14.1 innings) this October. He spiraled against the Royals in the ALDS, then course-corrected in his first outing of the ALCS, only to struggle again in the clincher versus Cleveland.
Even though he’s in the lineup, it remains to be seen if Ohtani is at the full extent of his capabilities. But either way, the Dodgers are in a great position in this Series. Both games at Dodger Stadium came down to a bases-loaded situation, and they both ended with an L.A. victory. Now, the Dodgers are just two wins away from their second World Series title in the last five years and their first in a full season since 1988.

I’m 64 and have been embarrassed for years I don’t have a clue where most countries are on a world map. I tried out several apps before finding this one. I’m slowly learning where countries are on every continent. The app makes it fun, once I got through the first few lessons when I missed every answer! I’m also astonished at the size of some countries….who knew Ukraine was so huge compared to Vietnam? And Japan is so tiny. I’m well educated (three masters and two bachelors) and consider myself a lifetime learner, so I’m glad for this opportunity to continue learning at home all by myself.
Customers have mixed opinions about the size of the tabletop game. Some mention it’s compact and good for road trips or camping, while others say it’s definitely smaller than expected. The map is super small and the compartments are only big enough to fit the full deck.
Game 2 world series
The play Ohtani was injured was just kind of a freak thing. The man stole 59 bases this season and he played in all 162 games and every playoff game. As it is, he probably dislocated his shoulder but I believe it’s been popped back into place and that he will be right back in the lineup tonight for the Dodgers. I could be wrong, but he hasn’t been ruled out for sure. It would be interesting to see Ohtani in batting practice to see how he’s swinging.

NEW YORK — Assuming the voting results for the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani and the Yankees’ Aaron Judge go as we expect them to go (hint: they will), this is only the seventh World Series to feature that season’s two MVPs.
The Yankees are up against it now. Only 15 teams in 92 tries have won a best-of-seven postseason series in which they dropped the first two games. And so, as their Game 3 starter Clarke Schmidt takes the ball opposite the Dodgers’ Walker Buehler, they’re going to need to feed off the energy of a hungry crowd that hasn’t seen a World Series home game in the Bronx since the Yanks’ 2009 title run.
The big question for Game 3: As the Dodgers celebrated taking the first two games of the World Series, they did so with a question in the back of their minds: Will they have Ohtani at full strength for the rest of the series? Ohtani, who was caught stealing in the seventh inning, was helped off the field by training staff. An on-field microphone caught him saying his left shoulder was injured. After the game, Roberts said that it was a shoulder subluxation and the Dodgers were „encouraged” by the initial results before further testing.
